In 2019, my wife and I approached Homelane in Kodambakkam (Chennai) for entire interior furnishing of our dream home (an apartment of 3000 sq.ft). Little did we expect it to end as a disaster.

Initially the quality of customer service and attention-to-detail seemed too good to be true but as the project unravelled, it became obvious that Homelane as a company, compromises a bunch of deceptive incompetent individuals at the top, managing teams of fraudsters with excellent marketing skills. Their workforce is outsourced and their products are inferior in quality.

After several blunders in the initial and execution stage of the project, we opted to withdraw. This is when Homelane revealed their true colors and refused to return our advance payment in mafia style. Yes, there was an agreement contracted while paying the advance but in spite of acknowledging to having underperformed with inadequate services to justify the advance payment, they refused to compromise.

After numerous fruitless meetings and several unanswered emails, Homelane gave us peanuts in way of kitchen furniture, for the 2++ lakhs they owed us. During that time, we even received nasty responses from Srikant Iyer himself, the CEO and co-founder of Homelane.

Trusting Homelane, we handed over our hard earned savings and they turned our dream into a nightmare.
