Since I was moving to Chennai, I had requested cancellation of DishTv subscription which I used for almost 15 years in Pune. However, they said they cannot cancell, but can transfer it to Chennai where I stay. In Chennai, DishTv failed to market their products in a privately run society where I stay. Hence, they said they will deactivate it for 2 years and will reactivate after 2 years and in the meanwhile check their entry to the society. They failed in their sales in our society. Now after 2 years when, I have asked them to cancel my subscription and refund my deposit they are asking me to send email regarding the same to their customer care. I have sent 3 emails so far in the past 1 month. I do get an automated response confirming receipt of email. However, after that no action is taken and I get another text message to rate their resolution - I believe they are considering the automated message as a resolution which is just cheating the customer. Their is no other means to reach DishTv than requesting help from consumer court.
