Compensation and replacement for the new Handset

Sir/ma’am,
On 24-10-2016, I purchased a Motorola G4+ handset. I made this purchase online from the Amazon, India store.
Within a day of the purchase, I noticed that the product was faulty. Firstly, I encountered a lag in the device speed, followed by repetitive hanging of the home screen. The phone gets switched off by itself randomly and an unusual line appears on its screen.The touch screen does not respond to my gestures.Thereafter, I contacted Amazon to exchange the product but the online store did not respond to my complaints timely.Instead they kept delaying it so they could cross the exchange date. They asked me to directly contact Motorola office since the 12-day exchange-period had passed.
The online store failed to get back to me with a proper solution as promised and now they aren’t responding to my queries.
The handling of my case has been extremely poor, by Amazon as a customer I feel disappointed and cheated.
As a result, I have no choice but to register a complaint in consumer court.
To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your speedy action against Amazon so that they replace my device with another one and/or provide a compensation for the same as I have faced a lot of inconvenience.
