I Parth Kanakia from Muumbai was contacted by Vodafone company call centre to get my number port-ed to Vodafone postpaid. The plan that they offered me was for Rs. 399 plus service tax where in I was entitled to get 1GB Data every month, 900 Free minutes and 100 SMS plus for the first 3 months I was promised to get 10GB 4G data (each month) for free. They said that if I agree to take this plan, a Vodafone employee will come at my place, collect all the documents for Rs. 20. I agreed to port my number for the above scheme. In the afternoon a Vodafone employee on contacting me reached my place and collected all my documents. Before agreeing to pay him the money I took a receipt from him and asked him to write the entire plan that I was offered on the receipt. He agreed to write that down and confirmed the one written by the Vodafone lady. (I am attaching the image of the receipt with the compliant. After he left I received a call from the same Vodafone lady for the confirmation. I had again confirmed the entire plan from her especially the part where I was entitled to get 10GB 4G for 3 months each for free. On Friday 14/10/2016 morning my no. got port to Vodafone, but I did not receive the 10GB 4G data. I contacted the Vodafone Customer Care and they ensured me that I will receive it in 4hrs. After not receiving it until the evening, I went to the Vodafone Gallery near my house: Vodafone Store, Ground Floor, Atlantic Commercial Tower, R B Mehta Road, Patel Chowk, Ghatkopar (East), where I was told that I would receive the 10GB 4G by visiting the Vodafone website and registering my number. I followed all the procedure mentioned and also contacted the Vodafone Online chat and customer care several times after not receiving the data. Each and every time they assured my that within 4hrs or 48hrs etc I will receive the data. Today, 17/10/16 72hrs of poring I am unable to get the entire plan that I was promised. This the reason I want to lodge a complaint against Vodafone for making false promise to the customer in order to cheat them and then wasting the customer's time. I should be compensated accordingly with the entire plan that I was promised to receive.

I hope this complaint serves an eye opener for all the consumers to not fall in for such frauds and also to the Vodafone to not fraud innocent customers.
