GOIBIBO NOT PROCESSING REFUND FOR FLIGHT TICKET CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19

I have booked international flight ticket (booking date - 17 February 2020 and travel dates 7th August 2020 and return 15th August 2020) for indigo airlines using Goibibo.com (PNR-ZHCB9C).

Because of travel restriction due to covid-19 ticket was cancelled on 13th July 2020 and indigo refunded the complete amount INR 45509 to Goibibo.

I have intimated Goibibo (twitter handle - @goibibo) on twitter (twitter handle @hatopkar) and asked to process my refund on 13th July 2020.

I have got two separate emails email from Goibibo on 18 July 2020 for cancellation notification mentioning the refund amount INR 41076 ( INR 19016 + INR 22060 for to and fro journey for the booking id - N6EZHCB9C). Email clearly mentions that amount will be refunded within 5-14 working days.

I have received another email from Goibibo on 24th July 2020 mentioning confirmation of refund and mentioned following message.

"this is in reference to the cancellation request against your - booking id N6EZHCB9C

Refund process has been completed from our end and bank reference number for the transaction is none. We hope the money has been credited in your account successfully ."

There was no mention of transaction number in the email. Email mentions refund@Goibibo.com for further assistance. I tried reaching out to mentioned email but my email did not get delivered and received automatic reply from gmail.com that refund@Goibibo.com could not be found.

Then I tried reaching out to them on 27th July 2020 on twitter (@Goibibo) using my twitter handle (@hatopkar) requesting transaction id for refund. But I did not get satisfactory response.

I also tried reaching out to them on their Facebook page (https://www.Facebook.com/Goibibo/?ti=as) and messaged using Facebook messenger for enquiring about transaction id for refund, on 28th July 2020. I have received a response maximum time for refund is 15-20 working days, and asking me to wait for mentioned time period.

Response from Goibibo on different social media/email is different and suspicious. Email from Goibibo dated 24th July 2020 clearly mention the completion of refund procedure while on Facebook messenger they are asking me to wait for another 15-20 working days for refund.

The company's intention to defraud me is visible through such suspicious response in relation to paying back the money accompanied by the delay in payment and hence I have approached this consumer forum.

I am looking forward to get justice and payment of my rightful money.
