Booked room through booking.com. I was supposed to get any reminder or any call for my booking.com

Dear concern.
I booked room through booking .com for dated 17 -18. I was supposed to get any reminder or any call for my booking.com regarding money. As I met accident and due to medical emergency I m not able to go to Mahabalipuram.and also try to cancelled on 13 but it's not happen to to any technical error . As I mentioned I met with accident i.dont call and thought will call surely.
I got a call from someone saying about money .
I wish u understand my personal problem and cancel booking without any charges applicable on me
