Asking for money repairing fan which is in warrenty

Hello Sir/Madam,

I bought my orient fan in feb-2016, now it has some problem so i complaint to customer care of Orient they sent technician at home but as he said the fan is manufactured in 2012 so we will not take warrenty of this and you have to pay for replace part.
So please let me know what should i do in such case?
Should i case on shopkeeper or on Orient comapny.
