HDFC bank Conversion of minor account into Major Account

I Went to branch to convert into major account. Filled in the forms and signed. Submitted self attested PAN card and passport copy. Shown original of Pan card and soft copy of passport from mobile. Manager Mr.Atul Bassi insisted on original of passport. I asked him to show the rule or give it in writing. He simply cancelled my application and asked his assistant Rohidas Shinde to tear of my application. It is a criminal offence. My request did not involve change of address.
