Makemytrip not contacted telephonically about the schedule change and waited more than 12 hours for

Dear Sir,

I am writing this complaint against MakemyTrip Worst Service delivery and their behavior towards the customer is not acceptable.

I booked the flight ticket through MakemyTrip on 28th of August for My wife to travel from Hyderabad to Johannesburg including return journey. i confirmed the dates and timings which suits for my wife to travel and booked the ticket ,my booking reference number IN1B1535454606823. we booked the ticket for 7th September to travel from Shamshabad to Johannesburg and Return Journey was confirmed for 29th November 2018.Traveling from Shamshabad to Johannesburg was fine and she travelled as per the timings through ethopian airlines.

For the return journey we got the ticket and we were following the timings that we confirmed before we book and the ticket that was issued by Makemytrip .

At the time of booking i personally gave my contact details which is 0027727309296 and they were contacting me many time before i pay the money after i paid the money and confirmed the ticket they were not calling me.and they got my contact details and also my email address.

About the schedule change for return trip for 29th of November we are not aware of it because we printed the ticket and confirmed that we traveling as per the ticket and there is no policy that i have to check my emails on daily basis to know about the schedule change because nobody informed about the schedule change rules during the time of booking and i gave my contact details if there is any schedule change they need to call me and to confirm with me about the schedule change but they never called on schedule change

As per the return trip that i confirmed when i book the ticket was 29th November 2018 at 07:50 Am she suppose to start from Johannesburg and arriving to addis ababa at 14:15pm from Addis ababa to Mumbai she suppose to departure at 15:00 Pm and she suppose to arrive in Mumbai at 22:40,in Mumbai there will be a waiting for 4 hours to catch the connecting flight to Shamshabad and she suppose to departure from Mumbai to Shamshabad at 3:00 Am in 30th Morning and she Suppose to reach to Shamshabad at 04:20 Am early morning on 30th of November that is the timings that i confirmed when i book the ticket which we aware of only these timings and i planned my wife journey as per these timings.

Now There was schedule change with complete timings changed and we don't know because nobody from Makemytrip was communicated through my contact details and their answer was they send the email on 6th November and send the SMS which i never received any SMS or any phone call,i no need to check my email about this because i got too many things to attend and there is no policy that i have to check my email on daily basis ,if there are any schedule change Makemytrip suppose to contact me personally and to confirm with me but they did not do anything.

New Schedule (Which was not informed): At Johannesburg starting time was at 08:20 Am on 29th of November and reaching to Addisababa 14:15 and there was waiting of 3:45" initially only 45", she could not even buy anything to eat at Addisababa airport because we are under impression that only 45" waiting and she did not carry any dollars. and the connecting flight for Mumbai started at 18:25 and reached Mumbai at 02:35 Am in the morning and the connecting flight for shamshabad they booked for 02:55 am .

How can they book the connecting fight at 02:55 when she is only arriving the Mumbai at 02:35 and they was immigration procedure and it takes time and domestic flight passenger suppose to be there at least 2 hours before departure.but the just rescheduled and Makemytrip did not confirm all these changes.

My Wife arrived at 02: 35 AM in Mumbai after the immigration formalities she suppose to catch the flight for Shamshabad but she could not catch the flight and she missed the flight because its only 20 Minutes time in between.

After that she called me about this and i send her the contact details of Makemytrip and also ethopian airlines from 15:00 Am onwards she was trying to call ethopian airlines to get the assistance and noone was assisted and luckily she got hold of them in the morning and they arrive at 09:00 Am and issue the new ticket for 15:00 Pm on 30th November and they mentioned that lauguage already gone to shamshabad.

As per the booking and the intial ticket that i got she suppose to reach to Shamshabad at 4:20 Am in the morning due to this she reached shamashabad at 17:00 Pm .

And the luggage they left at Mumbai and she found there in luggage point in Mumbai and no one assisted for laugauge and she made the arrangements to take the laugauge to the connecting flight.when i book the ticket the main laugauge suppose to collect at shamshabad only not Mumbai .

She waited at Mumbai Airport more than 12 Hours due to schedule change and Makemytrip failed to communicate to me personally and they did not get the confirmation.

on 30th of November I personally called to Makemytrip and complained on this they are so irresponsible and saying that they send the email after that they told me that they will give the feedback ,I spoke to Mr Rupayan,Harish,Prashanth ,Anudeep and others and they were delaying to provide the feedback.

I sent personal email to group CEO No response from him after that i received the feedback saying that they send the email and the sms ,About the Sms i never received any Sms from them and email i did not check because i don't know that there might be schedule change because i gave my number to Makemytrip if there any changes they suppose to contact me but they did not .

If their communication channel is only Email why they took my Mobile Number ?

They are saying the send the SMS ,i asked for the Proof but they are not Providing.

Initially they asked me to send the DGCA Rules i told them its their responsibility to check and compensate accordingly.

My Complaint reference number:181130-059200 after i received the feedback i send my response with some questions still no answer even i posted on their twitter account still no response on my questions.and they give the new reference number again .181223-000702 on twitter the mentioned that no refund or compensation

Due to the worst service from Makemytrip and not communicated on time my wife faced inconvenience and stressed because she traveling alone.and she waited more than 12 Hours in airport no support was provided by airlines and laugauge was not taken by airlines.

Due to this waiting she missed some important meetings at family.

I myself stressed on this and also spent my valuable time to complain on this but no use.


I demand the compassion of Rs150000 and also this complaint will heads up to other travelers not to book with Makemytrip because it could be anyone in the same situation. as a responsible citizen i need to complain on their worst service and they only make money but no service.

I am requesting you to attend my complain and i respect the law ,Customer is always king.
