Amazon did not delivery product and not refunding money. Putting condition for Money refund.

I had booked a Mobile phone worth Rs. 10999/- at Amazone on 3rd of Aug and they committed to delivery on 8th they didn't delivery it and when I said give me the courier company contact detail. I will go myself and pick my item. They didn't provide it and said it will be delivery soon. I cancelled my order and ask for immediate refund of my money and they said once product reach back to Bangalore warehouse in good condition then they will refund. This condition is not ethical to accept. As I didn't received the product in hand how they can block my Money for successful return. It is still in their custody.
