My name is Manjinder Singh. I am from Malad East, Mumbai. I had an Airtel Internet connection which I wanted to remove. I tried calling Airtel Internet Customer Care for many time but all the time I called, they used to put my call on hold for 30-40 mins. I have a very busy schedule so couldn't do much for disconnecting the line other than calling customer care. Eventually, I stopped using it. Now after 4-5 months I get a legal notice of a payable amount of 6,4005 rupees, and if I fail to pay this, legal action will be taken against me. I have e-mailed from my account for the disconnection now. Could you please tell me if the legal action in such cases is possible or is this just a scheme to take the money out from the customer? Please help me.
