Airtel Customer Care - My running Airtel no has been transferred to someone else

I had my number with Airtel for more than 5 yrs.and just before 6-7 months, I got some phone issues and stopped using the sim for nearly about 2 months.Then later I went and converted the on going sim to 4g. I went to Airtel Customer Service Outlet on Sapna Sangeeta Road and did ask to check the status of my sim. They did say, it is still working, you can easily go for 4g conversion and I did proceed accordingly. I recharged the same 4g Sim on 19.Nov2017, and started using the same. On 25 Nov I made my last call and thereafter from 26.NOV 2017 my sim stopped working. I did no realize the issue n thinking of network problem I ignored the same. But the next day the call was transferring to another New Person name, Naushad. I went to Airtel office sapnasangeeta road, and discussed the problem but the high rank officer did not support me and inform me that due to non usage the no. has been transferred. How can this be possible when till last day I was calling from the same number. I did Call to other reference numbers given by the office but none of them respond me.
They all were keep giving me other numbers to contact, just wasted all 2-3 days continuously calling different numbers but didn't get any help....I just want to know how the company can do this without informing me. This is totally illegal I just want my no back and need to have compensation for loosing the number as well as the difficulties I went through for the same. Thus requesting consumer forum to fight with me for the justice. I do have screenshot for My recharge as well last calling details also.
