Brand new car got burnt to ashes, I bought Honda Jazz VMT red on 4 February 2017

I bought Honda Jazz VMT red on 4 February 2017 on my brother’s marriage as a present for him and his wife. That was my first ever car I bought with my savings for my younger brother though my budget was not allowing me still I bought as he liked that car so much so I bought it on finance with HDFC bank under my cousin’s name Vibhor Singhal.
Now, On 30 April 2018, my younger brother Arpan Singhal and my mother Dr Sachin Rani Singhal were returning home(Modinagar) from Pilakhua. On the route, my mother noticed some fumes were coming from right headlight so she asked my brother to look at the issue. My brother parked the car and opened the bonnet of the car and he saw that it took fire because of the short circuit in wires of headlight then by the time he could do anything, fire reached to the engine so thought of evacuation of mother and important documents such as RC and insurance papers but he couldn’t save the supplements for his fitness club which worth 5 lacs and car itself cost 10 lacs approximately and ran away from the car. This incident happened around 11 pm on 30 April 2018. He sent me the video of our burning car and few pictures after the car got burned which I uploaded in this email as well. My brother and mother were standing in the middle of nowhere at the unsafe place at midnight. Then after 2 hours of the police investigation, they dropped them to home safely.

Since then my brother is trying to get help from axon honda in Ghaziabad but all he got just the dates with no exact explanation of how Honda car can get burn just like this. He received no help from almost 8 months from the incident. Now we have no car at home and because of this, my family is facing a lot of problems.


We always get our car serviced from honda showroom itself which cost us 4 times more than any third party outside. Still, if we face this sort issue then I can’t really be quite on that anymore. We have been spending money like anything just to survive without a car and again I am not looking for the money just my car.

I hope you understand the severity of the situation and bring the solution on an urgent basis as its been 8 months already and nobody took any serious steps towards it. Also, I am still paying the EMIs' of the car which I am not even using which is insane.
Let me clear that I or my family is looking for full compensation of my car and the losses we had because of the manufacturing defect in the car where nobody is taking this matter seriously from past 8 months.

I already lost my father on November 30, 2014. Now I have my brother and mother to call a family what if I would have lost them in that accident because of poor engineering of Honda so I lost not just money also relations which left emotional loss on me and my family.
