My self Vipul sharma, Today, my wife reached SBI bank mau city branch code 012474 to opening PPF account. The branch manager told that you are not open PPF account without having Savings account, first you open saving account.
Sir " according to the provisions of the Public Provident Fund Scheme, 1968, any resident Indian citizen of minimum 18 years of age may open a PPF account for self or for a minor of whom he/she is the guardian in a bank or Post Office, and having an account in that bank or Post Office is not mandatory.
Therefore it is requested that Please allowed to open PPF account in my nearest SBI bank may city (branch code 012474) for future better relationship with SBI.
