I have an Airtel Xstream Fiber Connection which stopped working on 8th of January. I launched an complaint with Airtel on the same day. Till 5 days there was no communication done by Airtel regarding my complaint. On 5th day after several calls they promised that it would be rectified within 24 hours. However, for the next 2 days there was no contact from them. On calling them they promised the same 24 hours period for rectification. On 7th day, when I called them they say that it would take 5-10 more days for the service to be active again. On inquiring why it would take so long their ground staff started talking rudely and hanged up the call. For an already activated connection, taking more than 10 days to be rectified doesn't sound normal. I have already paid them for 30 days out of which they are not providing me any service for 10-15 days. On enquiring if I would be compensated for non-working days they say they don't provide any such compensation. They are trying to fool people by making them pay for entire month and then keeping their service down for 50% of the time.
