CATCH 22 Restaurant Service Tax is Charged in the Food Bill without having Service Tax

Dear Sir/ Madam,

On 5th August 2016 with my family (4 Persons) we visited CATCH 22 Restaurant at II FLoor, Himalaya Mall, Drive in Road, Ahmedabad for Dinner.

There we took "unlimited Dinner" for all 4 persons for Rs. 207/- for each as basic Price.

To our surprise they charged us separately Service Tax (6%) of Rs. 49.68 on our total basic amount of Rs. 828.00

But there is no Service Tax No printed on the Retail Invoice given to us.

Instead they have mentioned that Service Tax No. - APPLIED FOR

Now we donot know how one can charge service tax when they donot have any service Tax no.

For your ready reference copy of their invoice is attached herewith.

We seek your expert opinion and advise what to do.
