Undue charges extortion using legal representative

I was a Tikona internet user but then I decided to discontinue their service. I had cleared all my previous bills and wanted to stop using their services but still people from Tikona renewed my membership without my consent and asked me to pay the bill. I had asked the customer service team to discontinue my connection as I no longer required their services. After repeatedly asking for the same I started getting bills and calls asking me to pay the bill for renewal which I didn't want to do. I received a legal notice and a call from a legal representative to pay Rs 4998. I was threatened that if I failed to do so they would file a case against me. In panic I paid the amount. This is unfair and I want my money back.
This isn't just my complaint there have been various Tikona users complaining about the fraudulent activities they are doing. Many people just like me have been through the same situation and have been forced to pay an amount for which they weren't liable to pay.
