Our two months electricity consumption is less than 1500 rupees. But this time the bill was charged with 3007 rupees. The mentioned reading in the bill was wrong and was higher than what we consume. After checking the meter, we came to know that the meter was off for about a month. It means the meter reading was chosen randomly, though the meter was not running, either by the line man who collects the reading or god knows who did the mistake. We complained about this to the JVVNL office at Khandar, Sawai Madhopur but they refused to modify the bill amount and forced us to pay the wrong higher amount.
