NON FUNCTIONING OF SIM

Sir,
I have purchased one Tablet PC Idea Tab A1000-T, Model Name 60028
and the IMEI 860070026291841. S/N: HGC1SFK9(31).
Please note that when I put the SIM card in socket the Tab is showing NO SIM CARD DETECTED, Please help me to find our the problem and where I will go to solve this problem. The said Tab is still under Warranty.
