Harrasment emails from Hathway Broadband

Hathway Broadband has been sending random emails asking me to pay 6000/- for not returning their modem and non payment of bills - By them its a legal notice.

Fact being I discontinued their services around 5 years back and have written emails stating I have canceled my service. First instance when they happen to send out such an email I requested them[Hathway] to check their email servers for the numerous emails that I have sent to their customer service team citing cancellation and submission. But by them they never had these records with them to which I furnished them with the required email transcripts that I had
and my question remain unanswered as-to how come you can keep my account active is it was a pre-paid account and how can you followup on the pendings when I
have done my due diligence around 5years back asking for email transcripts and receipts.

Over the course of our discussion they asked to me to arrive to a negotiation and demanding me to pay 3000 instead of 6000 which I denied and asked them to
cite reasons as-to why I should be paying when I had done my due diligence. They stopped replying over email and I have been following up regularly for answers
which I never got.

9 months down the line I receive the same email demanding money but this time its someone else. I am attaching all the email transcripts for reference... its been
a recurring problem against which I request a closure

Any help would be really appreciated
