Bike got challan and the driver is mechanic who had te bike.

I gave my bike for meter change which was supposed to be done . The machanic took the bike as the meter was present in the city. He drove the bike in Laxmi Road without helmet and got e-challan on the bike. The machanic is refusing to pay the challan amount and trying to make me pay for the same.
