No Newsline for over 3 months

I have subscribed to the Indian Express newspaper for over 25 years now. After being insisted by many to shift to The Times of India, Hindustan Times, The Hindu, Navbharat Times etc, I chose to stick to Indian Express for the authenticity and quality of journalism it supports.

Lately, I have had some serious issues with the newspaper delivery. When the paper mentions total number of pages include 6 Newsline pages, over thrice a week the Newsline is not delivered, neither separately, nor within the newspaper. The EYE magazine in the Sunday edition is also missing most of the times. When enquired from the newspaper agency, I was told that they don't pack the newspapers manually anymore, instead newspapers are mechanically packed and hence they can not do anything if any section of the paper goes missing, which counds a bit odd to me. I alternatively subscribed to Hindustan Times just to check if there are similar issues with HT, but NO, Hindustan Times has the exact number of pages everyday, and the Sunday edition of Brunch is also delivered every week.

In today's time, when there are a hundred more options available to get news, such issues with the delivery of a newspaper will only result in shift of subscribers to either a different newspaper or eventually to social media.
