earphones not working when put in S3

When I put earphones in Samsung S3, the sound is not clear at all and breaks and samsung voice opens up when I put in and try to fix the earphones. When I put the same earphones in other phones they work all fine. Bought S3 in Nov 2012. Can it be checked?
