Regarding non-acceptance of online road tax - DTO Officer Muzaffarpur

I had deposited the road tax for my vehicle number BR06GC-5603 and 22 others online. The tax was deposited for 10 years term. Now that I approached the DTO office for permit of my vehicle, they are refusing the validity of this tax despite the fact that it is absolutely genuine and details of which can be found on the transport website- https://parivahan.gov.in
They are saying me that the tax shall either be converted into yearly basis or be refunded but I can't understand as to how can they refused its validity when it is clearly valid online.
