Inverter AC model damaged during servicing

I had called carrier for service of my acs (all three carrier) one of which was a carrier inverter ac. During the course of the service check the service guys opened my ac and were presumably servicing it.I was informed that the inverter ac was not working (which was earlier working).The engineer was not trained on this model and he tried to seek help on phone .I asked him to send someone more experienced.Still next time he was sent again and was seeking help on phone but could not solve .Later i lodged a complaint and then another senior technician came .But obviously damage had already been done .Now I am being told that pcb card is defective and it will cost 17ooo INR in repairs (just one year old ac)
I have some q’s
a. Why a perfectly working ac stopped working?
b.why an engineer not trained on this model was told to work on this and then send again?
c.Why should I bear any cost of parts if right service not done and right people not sent?
I have subsequently escalated the complaint twice and also spoken to the Carrier Service manager looking at Faridabad -Mr Tarun Kumar
Recently Platinum send me a mail saying that they can offer a 20% discount on the costs involved to settle this. But i am left wondering is this the best recourse for an affected customer for no fault of his.
