I would like to bring to your notice a matter concerning the collection of Aadhaar details of my entire family by a person claiming to be a ward volunteer/animator in Andhra Pradesh. The individual approached us and requested photographs of Aadhaar cards of all family members. However, no proper explanation was given regarding the specific purpose, scheme name, or official requirement for collecting such sensitive personal information.
As Aadhaar contains highly confidential data, including identity and address details, collecting and storing it without proper transparency raises serious data privacy concerns. The individual did not provide any written authorization, official documentation, or clarity on whether the data would be uploaded into a secure government system or stored elsewhere.
This situation creates a risk of potential misuse, identity theft, or unauthorized sharing of personal data. As a responsible citizen, I am concerned about the safety and protection of my family’s sensitive information.
I respectfully request the concerned authorities to investigate this matter, verify the authenticity of such data collection practices, and take necessary action if any irregularities are found. I also request that clear guidelines be enforced to ensure that citizens' data is collected only with proper consent, transparency, and security measures.
