MY WIFE, MRS PREETI BAKSHI WAS BOOKED ON FLIGHT AI 9618 JABALPUR-- DELHI ON 14 SEP 2018 , SCHEDULED DEPARTURE TIME 1825h. THE FLIGHT DEPARTURE TIMING KEPT GETTING DELAYED AND FINALLY THE PASSENGERS WERE BOARDED BY 2115H. AT 2230h, ALL PASSENGERS WERE DE-BOARDED AS THERE WAS SOME TECHNICAL FAULT. PASSENGERS WERE TOLD THAT THE FLIGHT IS NOW CANCELLED. THE 3 HOUR DELAYED ARRIVAL OF INCOMNING FLIGHT AI 9617 FROM DELHI WAS NOT INFORMED IN TIME. NOR WERE THE PASSENGERS GIVEN ANY NOTICE THAT THE FLIGHT MAY GET CANCELLED. NO PROVISIONS WERE PLANNEDE TO GET THIS PLANE REPAIRED OR ALTERNATE FLIGHT ARRANGED.

MRS PREETI BAKSHI HAD AN ONWARD INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT THE NEXT DAY 15 SEP 2018 AT 0900h, FROM DELHI TO MANILA ; SINGAPORE AIRLINES FLIGHT NO SQ 401 (DELHI-SINGAPORE-MANILA).

ON ACCOUNT OF THE AIR INDIA FLIGHT GETTING DELAYED AND CANCELLED, SHE COULD NOT REACH DELHI IN TIME. SHE WAS GOING TO MANILA FOR HER SON'S 21ST BIRTHDAY. THE EMOTIONAL TRAUMA , INCONVENIENCE CAUSED, FINANCIAL LOSS OF THE DELHI- MANILA RETURN AIR TICKET(22,000/-) AND HOTEL BOOKING COSTS (15000) IS ALL ATTRIBUTED TO THE AIR INDIA FLIGHT NOT GOING. PURELY DUE TO MIS-HANDLING OF THE SITUATION, THE PASSENGER HAS UNDERGONE GREAT MISERY AND MENTAL AGONY.

MY EARNEST REQUEST IS THAT THE AIR INDIA AIRLINES MUST COMPENSTAE THE ABOVE PASSENGER, ATLEAST WITH THE FINANCIAL LOSS OF 37000/-
